Do you accept custom orders?
Yes! We love making custom orders. Use the custom order form on our website to get started.
How long does a custom order take to complete?
It depends on the time of year. Most custom orders take anywhere from one to three weeks to complete. The sooner you order the better, especially around holidays!
How do I request a custom crochet animal?
Just fill out the custom order form right here on the website. Emily will reach out within one to two business days to talk through all the details.
Can I request a specific color or size?
Yes on color! Size is a little trickier. Most animals are made from the same pattern so size options are limited, but if you want something made with jumbo yarn for a bigger look we can talk about that when you place your order.
How much does a custom order cost?
Every custom order is different so pricing varies based on what you want. You will always receive a quote and approve the price before your order is placed. No surprises!
Shipping & Delivery
How long does shipping take?
Ready to ship items are usually sent out the next business day, no longer than one to two business days. If Emily is on vacation or taking a break it will be noted on the website.
Do you ship internationally?
Not yet! Created Purposefully currently ships within the United States only. Stay tuned for updates!
How will my order be packaged?
Your order will arrive in a shipping box with your animal wrapped in tissue paper inside. We want it to feel like a little gift when you open it!
Can I track my order?
Yes! You will receive a tracking number as soon as your order ships so you can follow it all the way to your door.
Product Questions
What materials do you use?
Most animals are made with soft plush yarn. Some details like horse hair may use acrylic yarn. Eyes are either safety eyes or crocheted eyes made with acrylic yarn. Safety eyes are not recommended for children under three due to choking hazard.
Are your crochet animals safe for children?
Yes! For younger children Emily recommends choosing crocheted eyes instead of safety eyes to eliminate any choking hazard. Just mention it when you place your order!
How do I care for my crochet animal?
Machine wash on the delicate cycle with cold water and a mild detergent. Tumble dry on low heat. For best results place it inside a pillowcase before washing to help protect it.
Are your crochet animals handmade?
Every single one! Each animal is made by hand by Emily herself. These are not mass produced. You are getting something made with real care and skill.
Can I buy crochet animals in bulk for gifts or events?
Absolutely! Bulk orders are welcome. Just make sure to reach out early so Emily has plenty of time to make everything beautifully.

Who makes the products at Created Purposefully?
Every single plushie is handmade by Emily Long, the owner and creator behind Created Purposefully.
What inspired you to start Created Purposefully?
In 2020 Emily was sent home from her job at the school district during COVID. Looking for something creative to do she started making earrings with a Cricut. Over time she tried tumblers and shirts too, but when she picked up crocheting again she found her true passion. She has been making plushies ever since and never looked back.
What makes Created Purposefully different from other shops?
Emily holds every single plushie to a high standard before it ever leaves her hands. If it does not look right to her it does not go out. Every piece is made neatly, cleanly, and with real pride. You will never receive something that Emily is not completely happy with herself.
Is Created Purposefully a faith based business?
Yes! The name Created Purposefully was inspired by Ephesians 2:10, which says we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works. That verse is the heart behind everything Emily makes.
Returns & Problems
What is your return policy?
All sales are final. If Emily makes a mistake on a custom order she will absolutely make it right. Outside of that all purchases are considered final sale.
What if my order arrives damaged?
Please take a photo of the damage the same day your order is delivered and reach out right away. Emily will work with you to find a solution.
What if I am not happy with my custom order?
Every custom order includes a photo sent to you for approval before it ever ships. You will be able to see exactly what you are getting before it leaves Emily's hands.
