The Story Behind Created Purposefully

If you have ever wondered how Created Purposefully began, you are in the right place. This little business has grown and changed over the years, but one thing has always stayed the same. It has always been built with love, faith, and a purpose.

Looking back, I can truly see God's hand in every step of the journey.

Where It All Started

In 2020, life changed for so many people. I was working for a local school district when I was sent home. Like many others, I was trying to figure out what came next.

During that time, I bought my very first Cricut machine. I had no idea that one small purchase would start a business that would one day become such a big part of my life.

At first, I made handmade earrings. I loved creating something with my own hands and seeing people enjoy it. After that, I started making shirts. Then I moved into making custom tumblers.

Each new product taught me something. Every order helped me grow.

But God had another plan waiting for me.

Finding My Way Back to Crochet

Years before I ever started my business, I learned how to crochet as a teenager. Back then, I only made scarves and baby blankets. I enjoyed it, but I never imagined it would become my career one day.

After making earrings, shirts, and tumblers for a while, I picked up my crochet hook again.

Something just clicked.

I fell in love with crochet all over again. It quickly became my favorite thing to create. It never felt like work. It felt peaceful. It felt exciting. It felt like exactly what I was meant to do.

Little by little, I stopped making the other items and focused completely on crochet.

I have never looked back.

Why Crochet Means So Much to Me

One of my favorite things about crochet is that I can take it anywhere.

I can crochet while we travel.

I can crochet during homeschool breaks.

I can crochet while I sit outside and watch my children play.

I can even crochet on family road trips.

That flexibility has been such a blessing. As a stay at home mom in Pennsylvania, my family comes first. Crochet allows me to build my business while still being present for the moments that matter most.

I would not trade that for anything.

More Than Just Plushies

Every plushie I make is crocheted by hand with love and care.

I think about the child who will hug it every night.

I think about the person buying a special gift for someone they love.

I think about the smiles these little animals will bring.

When I sit down with yarn and a crochet hook, I am not just making another order. I am creating something that I hope will become part of someone's memories.

That is why quality matters so much to me. I want every plushie that leaves my home to be one I am proud of.

Why the Name Created Purposefully?

The name Created Purposefully reminds me that God has a purpose for each one of us.

My favorite verse is Ephesians 2:10.

"For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them."

That verse is the heart behind everything I do.

I believe God gave me this business for a reason. It allows me to stay home with my children, homeschool them, care for my family, and create something that brings joy to others.

Every stitch reminds me that we are all created with purpose.
